In its April 16, 2026 preview of a boxing event in Korneuburg, Austria, Fightnews.com named Yuri Sakunts among the featured fighters. The report described Sakunts as unbeaten at 21–0 at the time and listed Germany’s Robert Tlatlik as his scheduled opponent in a contest for the vacant WBO European super welterweight title. The report also noted Sakunts’s recent competition in Thailand. This is a pre-fight announcement, not confirmation that the scheduled bout took place or that either boxer won.
The international fight preview demonstrates coverage of Sakunts beyond Armenian-language sports reporting.
